What is Team Skating?
Unity is proud to be a promoter of team skating, a beautiful and under-represented discipline in the UK. Quartets and show skating form the basis of our teams programme, with separate sessions dedicated to building cohesive, high-performing teams. Skaters from other clubs are welcome to join Unity teams.
Who can join Unity Teams?
Quartets require each member to have a solid foundation of individual skating skills. The below is a guide to the level of skating capability we are looking for:
|
Cadet (born 2010-2014) 219_9a8e45-f9> |
Rollart score for Free Dance 20+ |
|
Junior (born 2007-2009) 219_230564-79> |
Rollart score for Free Dance 25+ |
|
Senior (born 2006+) 219_7b3b4f-a6> |
Rollart score for Free Dance 30+ |
We are currently recruiting skaters for our Cadet, Junior and Senior Quartets.
Skaters from any club are welcome to join Unity teams. They continue their solo training with their home clubs and skate under Unity only for their team skating. Any skater wanting to join a Unity team must have the support of their home club.
Interested?
Come along to our Opening Evening & Taster Session and experience team skating for yourself! The session will include a Q&A / meet the team intro, some off skates exercises plus 1.5hrs working on team skills on skates.
